Dear friends and family,

In our last episode:
Geniene was admitted into the hospital for further testing to determine whether or not she had pre-eclampsia.
The update:

The results are in! Geniene has pre-eclampsia.
So what’s that mean?
Well, I’m glad you asked.  We’re not entirely sure.
The doctor is fairly certain that she will be delivering the baby before she is able to leave the hospital.  As to when that is, we are not entirely sure. The hope is that it wouldn’t be before tomorrow night at 2300 hours.
She received her first steroid shot this morning and will have a second shot at 2300 hours.  The steroids will help with the lung development of baby Co-Bob.
Up in the air…
We are still left in limbo for a bit. As long as the vitals of Gen and the baby look good, they will try to prolong delivery as long as possible. Does the doctor think we will make it to 37 weeks? Probably not, but each day is better for the baby.
A bit of encouragement…
The following stanza by William Cowper is really encouraging and I find the truth’s contained therein to be very uplifting.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.
Miscellany
We are continuing to ask for prayer. If this baby is to come this weekend we ask that that would become hugely obvious. If not, we ask that these symptoms would go away. As for visitors, Gen isn’t really feeling it.  She still looks angelic but she feels like she might be a bit bloated.
Thanks,
