Gumballs Are About Joy

I Want That…

The other day @GenSimrak and I were walking into Walmart when I spotted a gumball machine. However I should tell you these weren’t just any gumballs; these gumballs were ginormous. Being with Kid #1 and Kid #2 along with my own juvenile tendencies caused me to promptly ask my beloved wife for 50 cents so as to procure said gumball.

We were able to divide the gumball up between the two boys and myself @GenSimrak graciously bowed out.  She claimed she didn’t understand why I would want a gumball. Her sentiment gave me pause, however I quickly recovered and replied that gumballs are about joy.

The Allure of The Gumball

They aren’t about taste or recreational chewing they are about happiness. Everyone knows that almost as fast as you put the gumball in your mouth the party is over but we still buy them. Why? Because they are fun.

The Moral

It was at that point that I realized a valuable lesson.  If I am ever going to sell anything be it a product or a service, I need to remember what it is that my product or service is really about and stick to it because in the end, its all about value.
